New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program and the Xavier University Department of Art in New Orleans collaborated on a Digital Storytelling workshop through a grant from the Nathan Cummings Foundation. In February, ten Xavier students and two faculty members spent a week in New York City exploring the worlds of digital audio, video and cellphone photography. The week of March 12 ITP students, one alumnus and two faculty members spent a week in New Orleans, working with both students and community based organizations, building online platforms and a portable storytelling booth.
