Masters candidates at the Interactive Telecommunications program spend much of their time creating new content, software, and gizmos, but they do not spend much time learning about options for protecting their work. How do creators use intellectual property law to further their interests? What makes sense? What is a waste of time and money? How can you share your work with the world while still protecting your own interests? Jon Goldstein will moderate a panel of experts to share their stories and answer your questions about this important subject. The panelists are: Professor Rebecca Tushnet: NYU law professor specializing in intellectual property and former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Souter. Kiho Shin: Co-owner of TKNY an "idea lab where the latest in urban lifestyle technology is conceived of, developed, and made available to the public." Hans-Christoph Steiner: Software creator, computer music composer, and interactive art maker. Heather Greer: Mixed media artist and filmmaker. Special Thanks to Jonathan Goldstein for organizing this event.
