International Credentials

Students with foreign credentials are expected to have completed or to be in the process of completing a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. For questions about eligibility, please contact the director of graduate admissions.

All educational credentials must be official and, if in a language other than English, accompanied by a certified English translation. Official documents or certified photocopies are characterized by an original signature of a registrar or another designated school official or an original impression of the institution's seal. Translations should be done by notaries connected with American consulates or the World Education Services or as part of the services provided by your school. No translated document can be considered without the official original; do not send translations only. The official document in its original language is required.

All Greek credentials must be approved and translated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens. Original credentials in Arabic should be translated by Amideast Services. In the United States you may obtain a full assessment of your credentials by the World Education Services, telephone 212-966-6311; Web site: (http://www.wes.org).

Because of the additional time needed to evaluate foreign credentials, you are strongly urged to file your application for admission one month earlier than the stated deadline.
